In our 21st-century world the tendency is to go more and more into specialization. This is for sure necessary if we want to stand out as translators. But what happens if we have always wanted to translate literature, but we also work in another translation field?
Is this possible? Can we specialize in both areas? How are they interwoven? In this talk I will address the possibilities from my own experience to encourage, from a positive point of view, other translators to dive into literature as they also work in other translation fields.
