Some consider it the holy grail, some see it is as not (that) important. Either way, it constitutes a huge part of what we do, so we need to understand it in order to deal with it and apply it adequately.
In this session, we will discuss what actually constitutes “quality”, what role do translation quality assurance tools play in the process, and how to take control over otherwise largely underused Regular Expressions and take your quality assurance process to the next level.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator color=”blue” border_width=”2″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”9/12″][vc_column_text]Dejan Hribar has been immersed in the translation world since early 2000s when he began his studies at the Translation Department in Ljubljana, Slovenia. After working as a freelancer for a few years, he started cooperating with a leading Slovenian research institute Joseph Stefan (working on morphosyntactic annotation of the reference corpus for Slovenian language), and around the same time got in contact with Iolar, the biggest language services provider in the region, where he stayed for the next ten years. There he went through many stages of professional development – working as a Translator, Reviser, Project Manager, Team Leader, and as a Head of office in Zagreb, Croatia. Dejan is also an SDL Approved Trados Studio Trainer with 50+ courses under his belt, has carried out an extensive study on Translation Quality Assurance Tools, and has appeared as a speaker at several international conferences, presenting various topics relating to translation industry. In 2018, he has started his own business, continuing his development as a translation industry professional, providing training courses for translators and LSPs, focusing on work optimisation and sustainable growth.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/12″][vc_single_image image=”5953″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator color=”blue” border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
