Peter Oehmen: Dealing with difficult customers – conflict management for translators

BP19 Translation Conference - Peter Oehmen - Dealing with difficult customers – conflict management for translators

Conflicts can arise in various situations and on different levels – between states, different groups, individuals and – related to our daily business – between clients and service providers. All these different kinds of conflict have some basic principles in common. So, in understanding these principles and the dynamics of conflict, we will be able to deal more confident with our supposed adversary. You will learn about a couple of conflict situations that may arise with customers and see how we solve those conflicts as business professionals.

Peter started working as a translator in 2000. Since 2017 Peter is managing partner at Oehmen & Reitsma, a partnership company in Berlin.
