Here’s a list of cities that are connected to Bratislava with direct flights. Both Ryanair and Wizzair have quite a few routes, many from cities that are connected to Vienna.

Flixbus offers direct links from the airport to Vienna’s VIB terminal (see below), with buses running every 2 hours (9:15 to 23:20),  reaching Vienna in 80 minutes.  The ride costs just 5€ and you need take to reserve a seat in advance.

Train and bus

If you arrive from Prague, Brno, Bratislava, Budapest, Venice, Austria, or Bavaria, you’re likely to find a suitable ride on the rail network.   Check out ÖBB’s website or your national railway company’s website.

The Vienna International Bus terminal (VIB) is well connected to hundreds of cities across Europe, from Amsterdam to Zadar, or from Toulouse to Zhitomir.    The bus terminal is served by U3, the same subway line that connects the conference venues and the budget hotels near Westbahnhof.
