Budget options near Westbahnhof

There are several affordable hotels near the former main railway station, near the the far end of shopping street Mariahilferstrasse.   Try hotels like InterCity hotel, Austria Trend Hotel Anatol, or Hotel 1060 Vienna.    All of these are 2-3* places, with rooms available around 70-80€ per night.   5-6 stops on line U3 to the conference venue (get off at Stubentor).   No allocated rooms for us, but you can contact the management directly to book a place here, or you can book via a booking engine.

Holiday apartments

This may a cheaper option if several people share an apartment.  Search on booking.com, airbnb or a similar site.

Vienna’s public transport network is highly developed.  For your information, the nearest metro stop to the conference venues is Stubentor (2 minutes on foot) on U3.   The second nearest stop is Stadtpark on U4 (5 minutes), while Karlsplatz (U1, U2) is not far either at 8 minutes.
